Intellicast S3E48 – A Woj Bomb for MRX

Intellicast

Welcome back to Intellicast! To be completely honest, we went down some deep rabbit holes on this one.

Brian Lamar and Producer Brian kick the episode off by talking about the newly announced partnership between EMI and SampleChain. Brian talks about what it entails and how it is going to impact the future.

Then the guys dive into non-EMI-related market research news. First, we recognize the winner of the MRX Diversity Champion Award, Damon Jones.  Brian talks about some of the efforts that Damon has been involved in that has led him to win this award. You can hear more about it here.

Next, Brian and Brian talk about the announcement that Ryan Smith, co-founder of Qualtrics, has agreed to purchase the Utah Jazz. This leads to a discussion of potential new speakers for the new X4 conference, will X4 attendees get to go to a game as part of the event, and potential new names for the Jazz – all market research related.

The guys then discuss the new funding that Toluna has secured, the recent reorganization at MetrixLab, Suzy’s new product launch, and NielsenIQ.

In the last segment, the guys discuss the upcoming election, and what it the different results could mean for the polling industry. This leads to Producer Brian going deep down a rabbit hole about 24-Hour news and opinion-based news stations.

See everyone next week!
