Welcome back to Intellicast! On this episode, Brian Lamar and Producer Brian are joined by EMI’s own Courtney Sandfoss to discuss the latest in the market research industry.
The episode kicks off with Courtney’s introduction and a possible family relation to Brian Lamar! They talk about their Kentucky backgrounds and EMI’s Fried Chicken Day.
In the second segment, they discuss some current events, particularly Bernie Sanders and his suspension of the presidential campaign.
The third segment is all about MRX News. The guys talk about how almost a third of qual agencies have moved most of their face-to-face work online in response to COVID-19. They also address some industry layoffs and whether insight companies should suspend non-compete agreements to those who have been laid off during the pandemic. Courtney and the guys then discuss working from home and suggestions for the research industry during this time. They wrap up the news segment with a discussion of Ipsos’s cost saving measures as Q1 results may take a hit.
