Intellicast S3E21 – Schlesinger, 20/20 Research, YouGov and More

Intellicast

Welcome back to Intellicast!  Brian Lamar and Producer Brian are all over the place on this episode.

It kicks off with the guys talking about some recent news stories, including a cruise ship that had been at sea since January 5th finally coming into port, Optus moving to work-from-home full time, and Facebook’s plan to warn users over COVID-19 misinformation. The last story causes both of the guys to question Facebook, and why they hadn’t done that previously when the concern was misinformation around the upcoming election.

This leads to a new non-research rant by Brian. (Something we haven’t featured in awhile)

The guys then talk about the latest market research news, starting with a discussion about Schlesinger’s acquisition of 20/20 Research. They then touch on YouGov’s latest earnings reports, and some interesting statements they made in their financial releases related to the impact COVID-19 has had on them. They then talk about some recent board appointments by Veriglif and Women in Research.

In the final segment of the episode, the guys introduce a new P to the 4 P’s, and they reflect on their answers to that question. They also have a deep discussion on some of the societal changes that have been going on, and what activities may be changed forever.

This episode covers a wide variety of topics.
