Employee Spotlight: Sahil Mehta

At EMI, our team is one of our strongest assets—and it’s growing! We’ve recently had several new additions to our team, and we want to take some time to highlight them and the unique strengths they bring to EMI. This week, we’re highlighting Director of Business Development, Sahil Mehta. Continue reading to learn more about Sahil.

What do you do at EMI?

I am a Business Development Director; I assist clients with sampling needs for their market research projects.

What led you to EMI?

The culture! This is an organization that really promotes collaboration between departments and individuals.

When you aren’t at work, you are…?

I’m a huge NY Yankees and NY Jets fan (unfortunately). If there’s a game on, I’ll be watching.

What’s your favorite food?

Thin crust pizza – nothing beats it.

What’s your best travel story?

Not exactly the best story – my flight to Cincinnati got cancelled on my first day of work!

What kind of music do you listen to?

I love 90s hip-hop and R&B; but I’ll pretty much listen to anything. I usually have sports talk radio on in the background while working.

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

Small engine/Marine engine repair. I dream of becoming a boat owner one day– maintenance and repairs are expensive!

If you could have dinner with any person, living, dead, or fictional, who would you dine with?

Vin Scully. I’m a bit of a baseball nerd and he called games for 67 seasons. Forget dining, I would’ve loved to hang out with him in the booth with a hot dog and beer in hand, of course.

Do you have a favorite movie/tv quote?

“I’m gonna make him an offer he can’t refuse.” – The Godfather

Tell me one interesting fact about yourself

I’ve been backpacking in Nepal and Tibet. I’d drop almost anything in a heartbeat to go back.

What would you do for a career if you weren’t doing this?

Professional poker player. I have a terrible poker face; therefore, I’m in Market Research.

Do you have a personal motto or mantra?

“Be Prepared” – The Scout Motto

What is your favorite thing about working at EMI?

Graeter’s is within walking distance!

Which of our four core values here at EMI (Agility, Accountability, Integrity, or Passion) do you most relate to?

Accountability – Clients recognize when you put your best foot forward for them.
