Intellicast S5E10 – EPC: Part Deux

Intellicast

Welcome back to Intellicast!  On today’s episode, we continue our conversation about Earnings Per Click or EPC as a measure of survey health.  Joining Brian Lamar and Producer Brian is Andrew DeCilles, as well as special guest Katie Gross, the Chief Client Officer of Suzy.

The conversation picks back up pretty quickly from the last episode.  Andrew and Brian give a brief recap of what was covered, and Katie talks about why she reached out to continue the discussion.

Katie has some unique insight into this area having worked for a panel, an exchange, an MR agency, and an end client throughout her career.  She leans into that experience to give us the view of EPC from a panel management point of view rather than the sample purchaser view we had in the last episode.

Katie discusses how in the past if you needed to “slam sample” you called up the panel and they pushed invites out to their panelist, even if it damaged the panel.  This leads to a conversation on how EPC can help protect the asset of a panel (the respondents) and actually plays into the respondent experience and survey design.

We even get into how EPC doesn’t mean the end of low incidence studies, it can just mean that there is there may be a pricing change to how it is currently priced.

Finally, we discuss how to best bridge the gap between the current model and any future model that leverages EPC as its core metric.

This is a great episode on something that is a growing trend in the online sample world – you do not want to miss it!
