Intellicast S3E46 – Mental Health in Market Research

Intellicast

Welcome back to Intellicast!  We have a special episode for you today.  Joining Brian Lamar and Producer Brian is Courtney Sandfoss, a member of EMI’s business development team and our Chief Health Officer.

We kick off the episode discussing some of the latest market research news. We start by discussing the new Top 50 Report, formerly the Honomichl and Gold.

The team then discusses the comments by Leah Kennedy of BT about resisting the call of faster insights, and how it impacts not only the qualitative side but also the quantitative side.

They then touch on the recent changes to Schlesinger’s executive suite.

In the last news story, Courtney, Brian, and Producer Brian talk about Facebook’s recent announcement about halting political advertising after the US election. All three were a bit skeptical about the motives around this, and if Facebook would actually hold to that pledge.

In the second half of the episode, Brian, Courtney, and Producer Brian have a deep discussion around mental health and the market research industry. The conversation stemmed from a recent Insights Association survey, and the webinars they held around the topic. They talk about some of the results, and why they were what they were. They also discuss their own experiences during the pandemic, and what they have done about them

You can get the results of the Insights Association survey here.
