Dear fellow market researchers,
EMI could not be where it is today without our employees. Our people allow EMI to have a strong company culture and meet client needs that are as unique as their own abilities and personalities! Therefore, over the next few months, we want to introduce the faces beyond the emails, calls, and our Getting It Done Without Compromise promise. Previously, we highlighted Janet Miller; now, it is our pleasure to introduce you to Adam Jolley, our Vice President of Client Services. Take a look at what he has to say in response to the mix of questions we asked him!
Q: What is your favorite brand/music genre/artist?
A: Blues rock, jam bands, and outlaw country.
Q: What is the craziest respondent target you have ever delivered? Or been asked to deliver?
A: Hypogonadism — it’s males with extremely low testosterone and super rare. I convinced myself multiple times in fielding that I had it and that’s why I couldn’t grow a beard.
Q: What do you do at EMI?
A: Help clients sleep at night.
Q: What makes you good at your job?
A: I have no problem being humble and vulnerable. I’ve always viewed salespeople as robots. To me, if you’re a little more human you can grow a trust in relationships that goes deeper than a buy my stuff approach.
Q: When not working, you are…?
A: Are spending time with my wife and 2 sons.
Q: Favorite quote?
A: “A man who wants to lead the orchestra must turn his back on the crowd.” – Max Lucado
Q: What is your favorite food?
A: Ice cream and oatmeal cream pies.
Q: What one thing would you take on a deserted island?
A: iPhone. This assumes I have wifi/a solid data plan. I’d honestly spend weeks just reading blogs and listening to music before ever trying to call for help.
Q: What is your favorite thing about EMI?
A: YOU have the power to make this place great.
Q: What is an interesting fact about you?
A: I’ve never hit the snooze button; I don’t even know what it does really. I collect minor league baseball hats and bourbon.
Q: What is your life goal/dream/aspiration?
A: Retire on a farm in Kentucky. A couple of horses, four wheelers, a lake with fish, and a house with a wrap-around porch. Pretty simple life…
